When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
Pittsburgh is unique in the sense that the city views from Mt. Washington are unparalleled. Tourists and locals alike flock to the inclines (also unique to Pittsburgh) to get that million dollar view. This couple actually LIVES up on Mt. Washington so it made perfect sense that they plan a Pittsburgh City View wedding. Their ceremony takes place at the historic (and also Mt. Washington located!) St. Mary of the Mount church.
After that, we took the most incredible photos on Mount Washington, with a beautiful city view in the background.
As guests enter the LeMont, floor to ceiling windows showcase the most breathtaking views of the Pittsburgh skyline. This is a beautifully appointed location for any special event, especially a Pittsburgh city view wedding!
Emily and Matt, congrats on the start to your marriage, and God bless you both!
What was your inspiration behind your wedding day?
We wanted an elegant, classy, yet simple wedding day to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends.
Advice to share with brides planning now?Stay focused on what matters most to you and plan some time in the day where it’s just you and your soon-to-be husband! Those are some of my favorite memories of the day. 🙂
How did you and your spouse meet?We met while I was bartending and he was a patron tagalong with his brother.
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂We went to Cole Hill Steak House (Tavern on the Hill) for drinks on December 20, 2019. Matt asked to go to the restroom almost immediately after we arrived for drinks and set up on the rooftop bar overlooking downtown Pittsburgh from Mount Washington. After drinks, Matt told Emily that they would take their picture upstairs on the rooftop deck and Matt got down on one knee while the hostess filmed the whole event. It was magical. We then went to Monterey Bay Fish Grotto for details and then went back to Matt’s apartment on Grandview where the surprises continued. My entire family was waiting for me with champagne and gifts!
What was your favorite memory from your big day?Two favorites: our entire Mass and then spending an hour alone with just Matt and our photographer and videographer. Those were some of the sweetest memories from the day and I will cherish those moment right after getting married being with my new husband. 🙂
