Heinz History Center Wedding: Katie and Travis
Guys. This wedding season has been so crazy! CRAZY AMAZING. I can’t wait to catch up on my blogging – I promise, there are so many amazing sessions to share. Starting with this one- Katie and Travis were so sweet and obviously in MAJOR love. Their Heinz History Center wedding was the perfect day for a perfect couple. Katie and Travis met at Duquesne University — Katie totally asked him out for her sorority hay ride. The rest was history… (I love a good play on words!)
Here’s more on all things weddings from the love Katie:
What was your inspiration behind your wedding day?
“Our favorite things” was kind of the inspiration.. where we met, what we like to eat/drink/do, etc. Our goal was to have a really fun day that reflected our own styles and taste.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
RSVP management is the worst part! Don’t “overthink” your decisions and everything ultimately falls into place.
What was your favorite memory from your big day?
Ooh this is tricky.. so many great moments that day. Ones that stand out are seeing an emotional Travis as I walked down the aisle, his inability to get my ring on during the ceremony, our bridal party/bus “hit and run” (not really, it’s an inside joke but we went to the summit bar on Mt Washington and ordered a round of shots before the reception), the cake cutting experience with the sword and it falling off of the cake stand, and finally … the display of great dance moves 🙂
