When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
Maura and Jordan’s summertime country club wedding was so much fun! I always love when all the wedding events are in one place, it adds so much relaxation to the day! Enjoy more of their story below. <3
What was your inspiration behind your Summertime Country Club Wedding? Jordan and I are both very minimalistic people. We both like simple designs and simple color schemes, so I wanted our day to represent that. I knew right away that I wanted to a black and white scheme with just a little bit of color for our bridesmaids’ dresses. All our flowers were white with greenery, and all our decor was black and white with hints of silver. Advice to share with brides planning now? Remember, your wedding day is about you and your significant other and celebrating your love. Always keep that in mind while wedding planning and leading up to the big day! Planning your wedding can be stressful, but remember, whatever is going to happen that day is going to happen. Your wedding day is still going to be absolutely perfect no matter what, so make sure to have fun and not let yourself get too overwhelmed. Your wedding day truly does go by SO fast. Make sure to stop and take a minute to look around the room at all of the people who came to celebrate you both! It truly is such a special moment that you will cherish forever. How did you and your spouse meet? Jordan and I met back in 2018 while I was out meeting some friends after nursing clinicals one night. I arrived late and all of my friends were standing at the bar getting drinks. Jordan just happened to be sitting right next to where my friends were standing. I told him I was sorry that we were all crowded next to him, and we just started talking from there. I ended up sitting down next to him and we talked for hours. The next week, I agreed to go to dinner with him, and we hit it off immediately. We started hanging out together every single day since that first date, and now the rest is history! Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂 It was the Saturday before my birthday and Jordan told me “Get dressed we’re going out”. He wouldn’t tell me where we were going or what we were doing. Eventually I noticed we were driving towards downtown Pittsburgh, so I figured he was taking me to dinner. We drove up to Mount Washington and he said we had some time to walk around, so we walked around looking out at the city. We were standing on one of the overlooks when he got down on one knee and proposed! I was so excited that I could’ve just gone home and called it a day. Instead, he then took me to Top Golf, where all of our family and friends were waiting at a surprise party for our engagement and my birthday! He didn’t tell anyone that he was proposing so they all thought they were just there for my birthday. It was truly a surprise party for everyone! It will forever be one of my favorite days ever (a close second to our wedding day of course)! What was your favorite memory from your Summertime Country Club Wedding? Our favorite memory from our wedding day would have to be the ceremony. It was raining, windy, and freezing during our outdoor ceremony, but neither of us cared about anything else in that moment other than each other. We didn’t do a first look, so we both saw each other for the first time that day while I was walking down the aisle, and it was a lot more emotional than we expected. We both cried and just felt so much love for one another in that moment. We also wrote our own vows and read them to each other during the ceremony and that was such a special moment that I will cherish forever.
