Elopement in the Spring: Morgan and Jesse Say “I Do!”

A few months ago, Morgan contacted me in the midst of her wedding planning. Some time passed and I hadn’t heard from her on whether it was a go! Out of the blue Morgan emails me and shares that her wedding vision and plans are totally different – she and Jesse were to get married soon – an elopement in the spring! Enjoy the photos from their special day and be sure to read more about what changed their plans below! 🙂

Morgan and Jesse’s ‘Meet Cute’ (remember from ‘You’ve Got Mail’?)
Not a super cute story, but we met when Jesse was a freshman at college and I was introduced to him by a mutual friend, and we’ve just been together ever since!

How Jesse asked:
Our proposal story is pretty simple, Jesse and I made plans to go to dinner. It was a nice night in October so he suggested we go to our favorite park before and take a quick walk. I wasn’t suspicious at all because we’ve done that many times. We get to the park and everything is totally normal, we start walking, and the park is in the shape of a circle. So we started near this gazebo, then when we made our way back around the gazebo had been decorated with pictures of us and flowers, and he took me in there and FINALLY popped the question lol. His best friend and his girlfriend were hiding and waiting for us to make our way out of sight so they could decorate it while we were walking!

Why the chose and elopement in the spring:

As you know, this was a little last minute lol. Jesse going into the Air Force hasn’t really made “planning” ideal, but I wouldn’t have changed anything about our wedding. Small, intimate, quick, and really about the two of us joining forces which is what a wedding should be all about. All we cared about at the end of the day was that we were able to get married to be able to start our lives together! Once things settle and we know what’s going on in life, we’ll do the big traditional style wedding. We both feel really lucky that we kind of get the best of both worlds. But so far….. highly recommend more court house style weddings!
