When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
I met Tori when she was in a wedding a few years back. It is always exciting and flattering when someone I’ve indirectly worked with decides to book me when it’s their turn to get married. Tori and Max host the most perfect September Carnegie Museum wedding and their love was the most beautiful work of art there.
Their review of my work is both humbling and flattering…
Dray is a true artist, a kind soul, and his photography speaks for itself. He is so passionate about his work and it shows with how he handles his business from initial consultation to delivering the final photos. Dray will treat you like an old friend and hype you up all day. I have never felt more comfortable in front of a camera before. I had a small set back on my wedding day after forgetting my veil at the hotel. Dray was able to keep me calm and adjust our timeline on the fly to ensure that we still got every shot that we wanted. This is what an experienced professional can do for you. Dray will be along your side every step of the way.
What was your inspiration behind your September Carnegie Museum Wedding?
Max and I are both Pitt grads and we loved the idea of getting married on campus. Oakland holds a special place in our hearts and we wanted our guests to be able to explore our favorite places around the city. We wanted a romantic and timeless wedding to cherish forever.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Book your favorite vendors as quick as you can, and then relax! The right vendor team will make your planning and special day go as smooth as possible. Read the reviews and explore portfolios to find the best fit for you. Have fun with your partner during the planning process–the time goes by so fast.
How did you and your spouse meet?
We met at Pitt! Max and I were in greek life and participated in Greek Sing together (an annual dancing and singing competition that pits the Greek Week pairings against each other–one of the largest fundraisers at the University of Pittsburgh). We were matched up as dance partners. We spent hours each day for months learning the routine together, which helped to flourish our relationship.
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
It was a big surprise! Max asked me to take a trip to Traverse City in northern Michigan in April 2022. Max spent a lot of time with his family there while growing up. We took a few trips there in the Summer and it became one of our favorite places to visit. We were walking along the partially snow covered beach when Max got down on one knee and popped the question. It was private, romantic, and an amazing surprise.
What was your favorite memory from your September Carnegie Museum Wedding?
I loved dancing the night away with my husband, friends, and family.
