Pittsburgh Field Club Wedding: Lauren & Jason Say ‘I Do!’
Love, laughs and a bride and groom in love, what more can I ask for? I love everything Lauren shares below about their Pittsburgh Field Club wedding 🙂
From the bride, Lauren:
What was your inspiration behind your wedding day?
My wedding inspiration was classic, soft and elegant. I am not someone that pays too much attention to trends so it was important for me to create a timeless vibe.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Be calm, cool and organized. Communicate your vision clearly and be nice to everyone!! Put your cell phone away and remember to be present on your wedding day, for it is your sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing that allows you to truly store life’s most beautiful memories.
How did you and your spouse meet?
In the summer of 2015 I was on a holiday weekend in Conneaut with friends. I received a phone call from a friend asking if I was free to come boating. As I stepped on the boat I was immediately introduced by our mutual friend to his brother in law, Jason.
We spent half the day on the water laughing. I remember getting off the boat that day thinking whoever Jason was married to was one lucky girl! Two weeks later I decided to meet some coworkers at a restaurant for happy hour. As I greeted some of the coworkers I noticed Jason sitting at a table. Our mutual friend began to introduce Jason to the coworkers as his brother in law and then he stopped and corrected himself to say “well…..Jason isn’t really my brother in law he’s actually my brother in laws younger brother.” Right away I looked over at Jason and said so you aren’t married? He replied laughing with a NO!!And the rest is history!!
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
In May of 2017 we went to Italy on vacation. We spent the first few days exploring Sorrento and Positano and then headed down to Capri.
We decided to explore Capri by boat first and just as we were heading through the iconic Faraglioni Rock formation Jason got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. It was a surreal moment that surpassed anything I could have ever dreamed of. Legend says that couples who kiss as they pass through the Faraglioni rocks will stay together forever 😉
What was your favorite memory from your big day?
My favorite memory was being surrounded by all the people I love. I also remember having the overwhelming feeling that I am exactly where I am suppose to be, standing next to the man I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. It was the greatest feeling.
