When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
Lindsay and Matt’s wedding was nothing short of a blast! They chose a Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Celebration because it’s a gorgeous venue where you can host ALL the special moments for your day. There are some weddings where everything just falls into place – the weather, the people, the party! One of my favorite moments from their wedding was Lindsay’s dance with her dad. It was amazing!!
I am always floored by the response I get from my clients, simply because they are so wonderful! Lindsay shares more below:
Steven Dray was PHENOMENAL! From start to finish, he was top-notch, professional, and EVERY vendor that we hired sang his praises! Dray was one of our first vendor we booked. We heard about him through a photographer friend. He has AMAZING experience in many different venues, including our venue, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. His photography and photos were more than we could have ever dreamed of! He makes you feel like a friend from the moment you hire him. 1000/100 recommend!
What was your inspiration behind your Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Celebration?
Our inspiration behind our wedding day was to provide a fun, hassle-free celebration with the people that mean the most to us — our friends and family. Additionally, having a simplistic, yet elegant theme for all to enjoy.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Always ask the vendors their experience with being at your venue as well as experience working with other vendors you would like to hire. We were SO lucky with Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and Steven Dray as some of our first vendors, then everything went from there! Always be willing to take recommendations from vendors you trust because chances are they know a great person with a great reputation that maybe you don’t know about yet!
How did you and your spouse meet?
We met a wedding in Columbus, Ohio. Lindsay was there as a good friend of the bride’s sister. Matt was there as a good friend of the groom. We were seated at the same table. Lindsay made sure Matt got to the after party. The rest is history!
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
Matt planned a surprise trip for us to Negril, Jamaica. He planned theeeee most romantic proposal at the Caves. We had a private cave that was entirely lit by candlelight and rose petals everywhere. Matt secretly hired a photographer that Lindsay thought was part of the dinner experience to celebrate their dating anniversary, he ended up catching the whole proposal under the Jamaican moonlight!
What was your favorite memory from your Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Celebration?
Matt’s favorite memory was surprising Lindsay with a live painting by Live Painting by Jaison and Stephanie. Look them up!!! They are absolutely phenomenal!
Lindsay’s favorite memory was taking in the fact that all of the people that she loved the most were all together in the same room, including her immediate family who had not been together in over 4 years!!
