McConnells Mill Park Engagement Session
Engagements sessions….I kinda love them! Not only is it a chance to meet my couples in person (if I haven’t already!), but it’s a chance for the couple to get their glam on and get comfortable in front of the camera. Deanna and Zack are actually naturals so this practice run was just a chance for us to have fun documenting a very special season of their lives. A McConnells Mill Park Engagement Session is also one of my favorite kinds. Take a look and see what I mean…

Favorite Memory About Your Engagement:
Zack and I have been together since 2010. We were friends during our undergrad years at Pitt but something clicked during our last week of Senior year and the rest is history! We dated while I was in my Masters program at Pitt and then did long distance for 2.5 years (I lived in Austin, Texas). We finally moved in together in Tampa, Florida and recently moved back to Pittsburgh where the whole story began. We have grown up together and are best friends. Although I’ve known Zack was the one long before he proposed, it was still a surprise!
Why Did You Choose Your Engagement Location? What Makes It Special to You?
Zack asked me to marry him in the snow-covered mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho while on a family ski vacation. We skied all day and in the afternoon, Zack surprised me and let me know we were going to tour the area with a professional photographer so we could ‘get some new photos to hang on our walls’. Little did I know this would turn into a private tour with breath-taking views (who knew Idaho was so beautiful) and the most perfect proposal in the backcountry mountains. I was in so much shock and we were both just crying but laughing. I of course said yes. We met up with my family afterwards to celebrate, drink, and eat. Love is beautiful and scary but I had never been so happy in my entire life! The most special part was that Zack had flown to Florida several weeks before to visit my parents and ask them both for my hand in marriage. He also didn’t tell my sister OR brother beforehand, who I am both super close with, so he kept it a huge surprise.
