I hear you shoot digital and film, how does that work?
You heard right! I love incorporating film into as many sessions as possible. Film is not dead! Over the past few years I’ve acquired several film cameras that I bring along. After the session is over, the film is developed and scanned. In order to make sure I am still capturing all the moments that matter most to you, I also shoot with my digital gear. It’s such a treat for clients when I deliver their final gallery to have both film and digital photos incorporated.
Do you offer discounts?
All of my wedding collections are ‘discounted’! If you were to book at my ‘a la carte’ rates, you’ll see the significant savings a wedding collection provides.
Will your second photographer/assistant be a professional, experienced shooter?
Absolutely. I always utilize seasoned, professional and experienced second shooters.
Should we call you Steve, Steven or Dray?
You can call me Dray! That’s what my friends call me.
Steven is reserved for my mom and siblings.
My wife is one of the only people who calls me Steve, oddly enough.
Are you insured?
I sure am! Let me know if your venue or any other vendor requires proof of insurance and I’ll send it their way.
How do I book you?
My booking process is very easy! I’ll send you a quote via e-mail. You’ll be able to provide some simple information regarding your session, read and sign your contract online and pay any applicable retainer. If you have any issues or questions throughout the process, let me know!
My wedding is not in Pittsburgh, do you travel?
Do you have a list of recommended vendors you can share with me?
I do! Once you are an official #SDIBrideAndGroom, I’ll send you ‘the list’ – it’s comprehensive and I receive no kick backs for my referrals. These are vendors I work with regularly and can personally vouch for their integrity. I can’t wait to introduce you to them!
What is your photography style? What sets you apart from other photographers?
I would describe my photography style as classic with an artistic eye! I love the art of photography and strive to create a product that becomes an heirloom legacy piece for you to pass on to future generations. I use film AND digital cameras to capture your big day providing a unique and beautiful storyboard. I do not use trendy editing styles, rather my goal is to give you a gallery of beautiful, true-to-life photos with vibrant and accurate colors!
Can we customize a package to suit our needs?
Of course. I realize not every session is one size fits all! Let’s chat about your specific needs and come up with the right option for you.
You seem awesome online but can we meet before I book?
I love meeting my clients in real life! We can absolutely meet at my new studio/office or if you’d prefer, I am stellar at Skype calls and GoogleHangs. 🙂
What is your payment structure? What kind of payment do you accept?
A $2,000 retainer is due upon booking. Final payments are due 30 days before your big day!
All other sessions
50% of your session total is due upon booking. Final payment is due on or before the day of your session.
Cash or checks are preferred, but credit cards are accepted as well.
