Denver Colorado Manor House Film Wedding
Have you ever felt when you travel outside your hometown that there is so much to see out there, how will you ever do it all? Every time I leave Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, I realize that the world is so big and so AMAZING. Denver, Colorado has been on my list forever. When Kaitlin and Lenny reached out regarding their Denver Colorado Manor House Film Wedding, I JUMPED at the chance. A few emails and a phone call later, it was ON.
I am so grateful for former clients who vouch for my work – I photographed Kaitlin and Lenny’s friends wedding a few years earlier (hi, Ashley and Luke!)- fun fact, Kaitlin and Lenny actually met at their wedding. Love the love circles! Enjoy the post below:
Here’s more about their big day from the stunning bride, Kaitlin.
As answered by Kaitlin:
What was your inspiration behind your wedding day?
Although we both hail from Pittsburgh, Denver is where Lenny and I have started our life together. About 90% of our guests were coming in from out of town, so our biggest motivation was to make sure everyone felt like they were woven into our wedding day and right at home in Colorado.
The Manor House is a pretty magical place and, being a historic home in the foothills of the Rockies, it perfectly fit the bill for our day. (Plus, the killer views of the mountains and Denver didn’t hurt!). From there, we involved many of our family and friends to help build out our ceremony and reception, and hired some really wonderful vendors to take care of all of the finer details to make it as true to our personalities as possible. We incorporated nods to our roots alongside some Colorado staples and, of course, made sure we had all of the right ingredients for an epic dance party.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Enjoy it! Yes, there’s a lot going on, but don’t lose sight of the fact that this is probably one of the most exciting and abundant milestones of your life thus far. That said, take some time early on to figure out what the top few most important elements of your wedding day are going to be for you and your partner, and make those your focus.
It can be easy to get pulled down the Pinterest rabbit hole or want to please those who will inevitably provide lots of opinions. Honestly, much of that will fade into the background once your wedding day arrives. When it does, remember to take a step back and find some quiet moments to soak it all in. To look around and see so many people who have shaped your life all in one place to show their love and support for you and your partner is pretty surreal. And it’s over in a flash. Enjoy every second.
How did you and your spouse meet?
Long story short: Kaitlin was the Best Man in Lenny’s brother’s wedding.
