Crown Paradise Club Wedding

These Two. You can’t help but smile when you’re with them. It sounds a little cliche, but their love shines through in all they do! We had an amazing time when we did their engagement session on Duquesne University’s campus (spoiler alert, Alisha shares more below on their meeting story). They decided to host a Crown Paradise Club Wedding in Cancun, Mexico for their closest people. The result was one amazing party!

Advice to share with brides planning now?
Try to relax. All of the little things can add up and seem very overwhelming, but at the end of the day, it will all work out! HAVE FUN the day of and remember that you get to marry the love of your life!! That is what it is all about!

How did you and your spouse meet?
We meet at a Duquesne basketball game. Derrick played and I was on the dance team. He said “Hi” to me before the game started. We became friends over the next 3 years and FINALLY went on a date our last year in college. The rest is history.

Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
Derrick and I were on a cruise together. He surprised me with a photoshoot after dinner one night because I always make him take 1,000 pictures. At the end of the photoshoot, he went down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

What was your favorite memory from your big day?
The whole day!!! I cannot just pick one memory. From the first kiss as husband and wife to dancing the night away with our family and friends! I enjoyed every minute of it!! Finally being able to live the day I’ve been dreaming of for over a year with my husband was PRICELESS!
