Cannot recommend Dray enough, he absolutely DELIVERED for our wedding. He made the process so easy and comfortable every step of the way. Wedding photos are one of the only things you take away from your special day, so we wanted to make sure we invested in a photographer who is professional and knows how to capture every special moment and detail flawlessly. He did that and more – we had so much fun shooting our engagement photos and then wedding photos. He is a wonderful person to work with and exceeded our expectations in every area. What was your inspiration behind your Pittsburgh Hyatt Terrace Wedding?

Throwing an elegant party (with nice views 😊) to celebrate our love with all our friends and family. Simple/minimalist with a touch of classic/romantic vibes  

Advice to share with brides planning now?

Take time to complete tasks one step at a time if you don’t have a planner and enjoy the process! Trust the day will turn out perfect regardless- all the stress is worth it. Also, BRING A FAN! 

How did you and your spouse meet?

Kam noticed me at the gym and said he thought I looked like the meanest girl he’s ever seen. Of course he loved that. He then waited until he saw me out in public to make a move. I guess sometimes having a phenomenal RBF has its perks considering this was 7 years ago. 

Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂

Kam’s mom was supposed to finally throw one of her Persian parties following COVID for me to experience. Kam made sure I took off work that day, as it was a big deal. The night before, he called me on my way home from work saying the party was cancelled, but our friend Caroline would like to make a shopping day out of it to make up for it. Caroline picked me up in the morning and handed me an envelope with “#1” on it. I opened it and realized what could possibly be in store for me. Kam creatively wrote a 7 step scavenger hunt leading me to 7 different places that were either milestones in our relationship or of significance to us. It eventually led me to the Wyndham Grand downtown, and I was blind folded up to one of the top floors where Kam proposed in front of all our friends. I didn’t know he was such a poet and will never forget the views from that spot! 

What was your favorite memory from your Pittsburgh Hyatt Terrace Wedding?

Katelyn: the doors opening and seeing Kam’s reaction as well as all our friends and family together in one location. Everyone looked so happy and I’ve never felt so much love. A feeling I’ll never forget! 

Kam: #1 is clearly when Katelyn was walking down the aisle way looking like a vogue model. She looked so gorgeous and sexy I forgot where I was or what year it was. #2 is definitely during the speeches. Looking around and seeing all of our friends and family in one place and the speeches being so well written will definitely have a special spot in my heart always. #3 is seeing all the old people dancing. That was awesome.
