When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
What was your inspiration behind your Fairmont Pittsburgh Wedding?
We wanted something timeless and elegant while also incorporating modern and bold elements to make our wedding memorable and unique. The Fairmont is already a more elegant, modern establishment, so we were easily able to add our own flair via design and entertainment elements to make it our own. Aside from aesthetics, Rick and I were adamant on having everything in one space, and the Fairmont provided just that. We were able to have our ceremony, reception and after party in one venue, and everyone could spend the night if they chose to. It made it super convenient and less stressful for us, guests and vendors included!
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Don’t sweat the small stuff! Try to focus on the real reason for having a wedding, which is marrying the love of your life! It is so special, and remember to have fun with it. It’s easy to spiral and get caught up in things that really won’t matter at the end of the day, so it’s helpful to remind yourself of why everyone is coming together in the first place. It will be perfect no matter what!
How did you and your spouse meet?
Rick’s step-sister was my neighbor, and she set us up in August of 2020. We went on a group outing to Narcisi Winery one evening so Rick and I could meet, and we hit it off right away. Shortly thereafter we went out on our first one-on-one date and made it official a few months later!
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
Rick proposed in November of 2022 while we were out to dinner downtown at Eddie V’s celebrating our two year dating anniversary. I was completely shocked since I was the one who made the dinner reservation, I did not see it coming. Afterwards, he surprised me again with our friends and family at Southern Tier for a celebratory engagement party! Aside from our wedding of course, it was one of the best nights of our lives.
What was your favorite memory from your Fairmont Pittsburgh Wedding?
It’s so hard to choose just one, but if I had to pick a favorite memory from our wedding day it would be the ceremony. There was something so special about us committing to each other for the rest of our lives in front of our beloved friends and family in one room. There is truly nothing like it. We had done a first look to alleviate nerves, and I feel like that really helped me take in those sacred moments during the ceremony and bottle them up with me.
