When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
Reviews are the lifeblood of every small business owner. So many of us do research online before we make a purchase — big or small! I am always so humbled to read the heartfelt opinions my couples share:
Susan shared this review online and I love to re-read it when I need a dose of encouragement!
Booking Steven Dray Photography to capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions I’ve made. He was absolutely incredible. Dray was calm and collected the entire day and an absolute pleasure to be around – which is very important given how much time you spend with your photographer! Everyone felt very comfortable with him and the bridal party kept commenting on how impressed they were with Dray and his brother Aaron (the second photographer) throughout the whole day. He kept us on schedule with our timeline without ever making us feel rushed. In addition, for each photo, he clearly described what he was looking for from us and other individuals in the shot. He would even do each pose himself to show our bridal party what he was looking for. This attention to detail resulted in incredible photos. Within a week we had a preview that included 24 photos – all absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait to see the full album! We highly recommend hiring Steven Dray Photography for your wedding!

What was your inspiration behind your Fall Pennsylvanian Wedding?
My main goal was for everyone to have an insanely fun time. That is what I cared about most and thought of the most when planning. From an aesthetics perspective, my colors were purples (my favorite color) and I wanted everything to be simple, elegant, and classy.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Choose one day a week to focus on wedding planning related stuff. I tried to stick to this rule so my life wouldn’t be overtaken by wedding planning. Easier said than done though!
How did you and your spouse meet?
We met as students at the University of Pittsburgh. We lived on the same floor freshman year and started out as friends and eventually grew closer and closer.
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
Shawn proposed in Vail, CO while we were visiting my dad for a ski trip. Unfortunately the second day of the trip I ended up with concussion which messed up Shawn’s plans of proposing while skiing. He still made the moment special by finding a quiet spot in Vail Village and proposing the last night we were there.
What was your favorite memory from your big day?
It is so difficult to pick just one. Overall, I loved dancing with our friends and family. But I think the most special moment was reciting our vows to each other.
