When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
This wedding is one I am so excited to share! The groom Ben is my cousin-in-law! I am always honored when my clients choose me to capture their special day, but it is an even bigger honor when I get to work with family. Ben and Victoria spent a long time figuring the perfect way to celebrate their marriage vows. Ultimately, a classy Bedford Springs Resort wedding wins. This resort is historic, classic and elegant, the perfect place for the couple who wish to wow their guests!
Ben and Victoria compliment each other perfectly. They are both fun and kind, and when they met, it was a match made in heaven. They recently relocated to North Carolina for work, but are from the Pittsburgh area. A Bedford Springs Resort wedding accommodates all the people who mean the most to them AND provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photography – a WIN/WIN! It definitely is a gamble scheduling an outdoor ceremony in March in the Northeastern United States, but the day went off without a hitch!
Victoria’s sisters served as her bridesmaids and it is so apparent how much they love each other in their pre-wedding getting ready photos. The joy is contagious! Ben and his groomsmen obviously are having a good time too!
A Bedford Springs Resort wedding provides several options for your big day. There is a grotto where ceremonies are often held, but Ben and Victoria’s grand lawn ceremony was the perfect place for them to say ‘I do!’ Ben’s brother, Nick serves both as the best man AND the officiant of their wedding. This makes the day so much more meaningful, when someone close to the couple performs this special task.
After the ceremony comes my favorite part — bridal party photos and then an intimate couples session. I always suggest couples block at least one hour for these photos. You just got married, you are all dressed up, and this is one of the only days in your life where you will get to do something this fun! Enjoy it, and don’t rush it. A tip I like to offer: make your cocktail hour an hour and a half! This way you can take photos and join your guests for the end of cocktails! Do it, and thank me later! 😉
