Wedding at Hotel Monaco

There are certain weddings I book that I know automatically will be amazing! One indication is when I get to work with the Shayla Hawkins Events team. Ali, my lovely bride, feels the same! She didn’t know exactly what she wanted but she knew exactly who to trust with her and Christian’s big day — Alexis of the Shayla Hawkins team. Her stunning designs for this wedding at Hotel Monaco are perfect, as usual. Ali shares more below:

What was your inspiration behind your wedding at Hotel Monaco?

I didn‘t have much inspiration behind my wedding day since I was never one that really dreamed about my wedding day when I was younger or ever had a vision for the big day. I knew I wanted Alexis as my wedding planner and that she would be able to make my wedding day perfect!

Advice to share with brides planning now?

Enjoy every step of the planning process and soak in every moment of the Wedding Day because it goes by fast! Also try not to stress and don’t sweat the little details- the most important part is spending time with your spouse and family/friends on your big day.

How did you and your spouse meet?

We met at a Halloween party in 2009 when we were seniors in high school.

Proposal Details! How did it happen?

Christian proposed over a 5 star home cooked meal in our condo.

What was your favorite memory from your big day?

Christian – watching Ali walk down the aisle with her dad
Ali – intimate first look on Hotel Monaco rooftop / dance floor with family and friends
