When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
There are certain venues in Pittsburgh that I look forward to working at no matter how many times I work there, Longue Vue is definitely one of them. This historic club has all the charm, elegance and architecture to impress even the most distinguished tastes. Couples who get married here have the option to have their ceremony and reception in one place. The building is gorgeous, the grounds provide all the places you need for photos — it’s just *chef’s kiss* perfection! A wedding at Longue Vue is a for sure no brainer. Congrats Alexis and Andrew!
What was your inspiration behind your Wedding at Longue Vue?
Our main inspiration was that we wanted our day to be memorable and fun while still being elegant and timeless.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
My advice is to make sure you invest in what you and your fiancĂ© find most important and know that this is your day! It’s easy to get caught up in pleasing the peanut gallery, remember it’s about you and your partner and celebrating the love you share!
How did you and your spouse meet?
It all started in State College, Pennsylvania, I was attending graduate school and Andrew was a working professional. Unknowingly, we lived across the street from one another and never ran into each other due to very different schedules. After overlooking each other for over a year, we matched on a dating app. From there our paths continued to cross and we came to find out we were neighbors! It felt like it was meant to be in an odd way and we were inseparable from there.
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
Three in a half years later Andrew took me back to D.C. where he had taken me at the start of our relationship. One of our traditions is to visit the U.S. botanical gardens each time we go to D.C. and sure enough that’s were he got down on one knee. I had missed every sign and question some very odd behaviors but it was a complete shock! I think the two random girls “taking our photo” were just as shocked as I was! From there he whisked me away to one of our favorite brunch spots.
What was your favorite memory from your Wedding at Longue Vue?
I can’t say we have just one favorite memory however, we really enjoyed having fun and celebrating with our wedding party throughout the day. We loved getting ready, taking amazing photos with Dray and ending the night on the dance floor all together. We could not have asked for a better group of people to be by our sides on such memorable day! Â
