When I'm not photographing or with my family, I get lost in pop- impressionism oil paintings. Check out some of my work here.
There is something to be said for a small town wedding! High school sweethearts Nick and Katlyn hosted an elegant and classy Summertime Grayson House wedding reception. Decorated with lush florals and greenery, the Grayson House never looked better!
Congratulations you two! Many happy returns.

What was your inspiration behind your Summertime Grayson House Wedding?
A classic day that would never go out of style. We wanted to look back at photographs with our family in the future and still think it was the most beautiful day ever. We also wanted it to be a day that would thank and celebrate those that supported us on the journey to get to our wedding day. The example our families have set for us is why we have such a strong foundation that we will flourish off of it in the future. We are very blessed with amazing people to look up to.
Advice to share with brides planning now?
Go with YOUR gut on everything! Second guessing or thinking about other’s opinions will only dampen the experience and make it more stressful. Have a go-to person that you can talk with at any point in the day and vent to when things go crazy sometimes! They will be your life-saver. Slow down the big day as much as you can! Everyone told us that it would fly by but we couldn’t have imagined how quick everything went. We wish we could go back for even a minute and enjoy the bliss of our day!
How did you and your spouse meet?
Our mutual friend, Lindsey Osborne (bridesmaid), was attending the youth group program at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesburg when she met Nick. After awhile, she realized that her good friend, Katlyn, would be a great match with Nick. Lindsey introduced us and drove us with Nick’s good friend, Steve Calvario, on our first date to the movies and some ice cream afterwards. We were too young to drive!
Proposal Details! How did it happen? 🙂
On what was supposed to be a typical, COVID friendly date night out with some take-out sushi, Nick decided to take a detour and “help” his Uncle Gene at a pond he usually fishes at. Katlyn didn’t think anything of it and went along with the scenario. Nick drove down to the pond and to Katlyn’s surprise, Uncle Gene was no where to be found. Nick pulled Katlyn out of the truck and walked her over to the dock which the two had spent a lot of time at throughout their relationship. Nick then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Katlyn was so surprised that she responded with “No way!” and Nick was concerned for a second about her response before she screamed “YES!.”
What was your favorite memory from your Summertime Grayson House Wedding?
Groom – Seeing Katlyn walk down the aisle was by far my favorite moment. I couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear and have never seen her more beautiful. The doors opened and she took my breath away instantly.Bride – I had the MOST fun during the bridal dance! That was something I always loved taking part in when I grew up going to weddings and having the Pennsylvania Polka play while dancing with some of my favorite people was an experience I will never forget!
